Thanks for the interesting discussion. I just ran into this discussion on another blog. Check out http://everypageispageone.com/2012/02/24/frankenbooks-must-die-a-rant/.

I haven’t checked out mylyn yet, but I think I will, and it will be interesting to see how it works with confluence (and JIRA). If mylyn breaks a wiki page down into components that can stand on their own inside a DTD specialization and provides easy-to-use functionality for migrating links to reltables, I think professional and freelance writers will naturally gravitate towards it.

Hi Brett,

I have installed Cognos 10, and i did not get any sample with that installation. They said it should be separately download but i did not find it anywhere?

Hi Imanuel, Sorry for the delay. If you have Cognos 8, you should install the samples from the Sample disk that came with the program. There are other helpful samples on the disk in addition to the database that you won't be able to find elsewhere.

Hello,
if you don’t mind, may i get the information where i can download the gosales database for free?
Because I need it to be learned using sqlserver 2008 n ibm cognos 8. When i installed my cognos application,there is no gosales database sample anywhere so that i can install it to sqlserver.

Hi Lee, I just connected to the SVN server as an anonymous users and I can see the project files. Entering the SVN url into my browser directly also shows the files.
